It is signed by William Savery Bucklin. Titled, "Shelbourne River", it depicits a forest river.

A dealer with the email address of oldcrow@@todaylink.com , offered on ebay.com in April, 2001, a painting (oil on canvas) which is a depiction of a forest stream in mid Autumn. Marvelous color and brush work with deft use of the palette knife. Heavily impastoed, the painting exhibits elements of expressionism and the Barbizon school.
